Dr. Jade Feliciano

Dr. Jade Feliciano is a Literacy Specialist working at Harrison Central School District with over 15 years of teaching experience. She works with struggling readers in grades K-5, delivering targeted intervention, and supporting teachers with differentiated instruction.
Dr. Feliciano is a strong believer that all students can learn given the right tools. She also believes strongly that using technology in the classroom is a great way to motivate students, especially low-proficient readers. Dr. Feliciano has facilitated workshops and taught graduate courses as an adjunct at Fordham University and has trained teachers through workshops at the Literacy Institute through Harrison Central School District. Dr. Feliciano received her Ph.D. from Fordham University in 2014. Her dissertation focused on multimedia reading instruction and digital literacy. She can be reached at morano@fordham.edu

Dr. Susan Luft


Dr. Susan Luft is the English Language Arts Coordinator for elementary schools in the __Scarsdale Public School District, Scarsdale, NY__. Her current role focuses on the facilitation, program development, and direction of all aspects of literacy throughout the elementary grades. Directing workshops, providing coaching, and developing curriculum with teachers is the direct focus of her role. Her innovative classrooms focus on building upon students' traditional literacies while developing Digital and Media Literacy skills as a resource for learning and problem-solving.

Prior to her current role, she had been a primary and intermediate level elementary classroom teacher since 1999. Dr. Luft has facilitated teacher training in courses offered by the Scarsdale Teachers Institute and has taught workshops and graduate courses as an adjunct professor at __Fordham University.__Luft received her Ph.D. from Fordham University in 2014. Her research focus is digital and media literacy, social learning theory, and collaboration through dialogic learning. Dr. Luft can be reached at luft@fordham.edu
